BillLift Terms of Service

Effective and last updated: November 3, 2026

Welcome to BillLift. These Terms of Service explain the rules for using our community website. By registering or using BillLift, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the service. You may contact us at BillLiftHelp@gmail.com with questions.

1. What BillLift does today

BillLift currently lets registered users post requests for assistance with bills and eligible expenses. Our administrators may review requests before publishing them. Other registered users may record nonbinding offers of help and, after making an offer on a published request, privately exchange messages with that requester to coordinate an independent payment directly to the biller. BillLift does not currently accept or process payments, collect donations, hold balances, provide wallets, pay billers, distribute funds, make loans, or collect service fees. No displayed offer is a completed donation, transfer or payment. BillLift does not charge a fee for independently arranged payments.

2. Eligibility and accounts

The service is intended for adults age 18 or older. You are responsible for providing accurate information, protecting your account credentials, and reporting suspected unauthorized account use. Do not impersonate others, use another person's account without permission, or submit false information. Age and identity verification are not yet active features.

3. Rules for assistance requests

Post only requests that you reasonably believe are genuine. Describe expenses and providers accurately, and do not submit another person's private or sensitive information without authorization. Do not include full financial account numbers, Social Security numbers, detailed medical records, passwords, or other confidential credentials in public posts. BillLift may review, decline, edit for safety, remove or close requests and restrict accounts where needed to protect the community.

4. Offers and limitations

Offers to help are expressions of interest only, with no binding promise to pay. They are not reserved funds. Request approval does not establish that a bill, person, or amount has been independently verified. Neither publication nor an offer guarantees that assistance will be received. Do not treat BillLift as an emergency service, lender, payment provider, charity, or substitute for making arrangements with creditors or billers.

5. Private messages and safety

A requester and a supporter who has made an active offer may send private messages to discuss possible assistance. Messages are not public, but BillLift may store and access them for safety, support, or legal reasons. Do not share passwords, full bill numbers, bank or card numbers, identity documents, medical records, or other sensitive information. Use verified official biller channels for independent payments; BillLift does not verify that an independent payment has been made. We cannot guarantee safety or performance of any independently arranged transaction. Email notifications for messages are not available yet.

6. Public posts and privacy

Published requests can be seen by visitors, including the display name, story, biller or provider, amount and any listed due date. The identity of a supporter choosing an anonymous offer is hidden from the public offer listing but remains visible to administrators. You are responsible for content you choose to make public. Our Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use and share information.

6. Prohibited activities

Do not use the service for scams, harassment, threats, discriminatory abuse, unlawful activity, misleading financial claims, automated scraping, malware, interfering with access, or attempts to bypass security. Do not offer or request off-platform payments by misrepresenting them as BillLift-verified transactions.

7. Fees and future services

The platform may display examples of a proposed future service fee, currently 2% by default, but no fee is presently charged. Any future payment, direct-to-biller settlement, grant distribution, or financing capability will require additional partners, approvals, eligibility checks, disclosures and updated terms before use. A startup loan inquiry is not an application for or promise of credit.

8. Availability, changes and liability

The service is provided as available, and we may change, suspend or discontinue features, moderate content, or restrict misuse. We cannot promise uninterrupted access, the accuracy of user-submitted content, or that requests will receive support. To the extent permitted by applicable law, BillLift is not responsible for losses caused by inaccurate third-party posts, outages or users' independent actions. Nothing here limits rights that cannot lawfully be excluded.

9. Your content and our website

You retain rights you have in content you submit. By submitting content for publication, you give BillLift permission to host, display and process it as needed to operate the community. Do not submit material that infringes another person's rights. The BillLift name, design and website code remain subject to their applicable ownership and license rights.

10. Updates and contact

We may update these terms as the service changes. The effective date above will be revised when we publish material changes. For questions, account concerns, content reports or assistance, email BillLiftHelp@gmail.com. These terms are intended to be read with our Privacy Policy.
